What I Would Wear To: Work
Getting dressed for work every morning is a challenge, especially when many have been working from home for the past two years!
In this post you’ll find some Zara basics that you can use to create a capsule wardrobe for work. I must admit that I get most of my work wear from Zara. I think the price is fair and the quality is usually there for me. The biggest piece of advice I can offer is GET YOUR CLOTHING TAILORED. I get almost every pair of pants from Zara either hemmed or taken in at the waist. I find that I sometimes need to size up in pants to get the looser pant look that I prefer, so its very important for me to get the waist taken in. Trust me, tailoring makes such a difference!
What’s a capsule wardrobe you ask? Its a wardrobe comprised of great staples that can be mixed and matched with each other. By selecting items in solids, neutrals or basic patterns, you can mix and match the majority of your pieces to create a multitude of outfit options.
Did you know I offer capsule wardrobe styling? Whether you want to create a capsule wardrobe for work, or play, get it touch…I’d love to help!
Let’s start with pants. I recommend starting with a few pairs of black pants in different shapes/styles that you can use to create a variety of looks with. I also really love a white pant for spring and summer, even early fall!
Zara has some excellent blouses, and I usually find them to be great quality. Any of these blouses would mix and match well with the pants linked above.

Here are a couple more basic blouses you could add to the mix!
You can never have enough white blouses in my opinion. Here are a few great options.

Add one or two blazers to your wardrobe and add them to any outfit for an elevated look. Added bonus: wear with a tshirts and jeans for a casual but polished ensemble!
Here are my choices for fitted blazers:
Blue Tweed Blazer Pink Tweed Blazer Black Blazer Plaid Blazer
Lastly, here is my favorite oversized blazer. I wear these two colors to work every single week. I also wear them on the weekend with jeans, or layered over dresses!
